| debit_receipt | Company | An employer debit was received. This may be for a payroll run or tax variance collection. |
| failed_debit | Company | An attempt to debit an employer's bank account failed. |
| failed_payment | Employee, Contractor | An attempt to credit a worker's bank account failed. |
| delayed_payment | Employee, Contractor | An attempt to credit a worker's bank account via instant payments (RTP, FedNow) failed, and is scheduled to be retried via same-day ACH. |
| wire_received | Company | A wire payment to fund a payroll has been received. |
| filing_period_closed | Company | Triggered when a reconciliation receipt (filing period) is closed for a payroll with non-zero cash requirements. |
| tax_transfer_canceled | Company | Triggered when a reconciliation receipt is deleted (because the payroll was reopened) and there was a non-zero cash requirement. |
| unremittable_tax_refund | Company | A refund has been issued for taxes that could not be remitted. |

Tax Statement Topics
Check sends no email for the four tax statement topics. They arrive only as Notifications, through the Notifications API and the notification webhook, with email_communication set to null. You own any communication to the employer or its workers. See Tax Statement Notifications for when each topic fires, and Testing Tax Statement Notifications in Sandbox to trigger them in sandbox.
