A mailing attempt is one letter Check sent to mail a tax statement: an employee tax statement, such as a W-2, or a contractor tax statement, the 1099-NEC. Use mailing attempts to see whether Check mailed a statement, which address it went to, and where the letter is in delivery.
To find the mailing attempts for a statement, list mailing attempts with the statement's ID. To check on one attempt later, get the mailing attempt by its ID.
