Access to the Sensitive Data API requires explicit approval from Check, completion of security requirements, and acceptance of additional terms and conditions.

The Sensitive Data API allows partners to securely access sensitive information like Social Security Numbers (SSNs) and bank account numbers through Check's API. This feature helps partners who need programmatic access to this data for legitimate business purposes while maintaining strict security controls.

The API implements multiple layers of security to protect sensitive data. Partners must complete several requirements before gaining access, including enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users and signing additional legal agreements that outline proper data handling procedures. All data access is logged for audit purposes in Check's API Logs and Activity Logs. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols.

For enhanced security in Console, this feature leverages role-based access controls that restrict sensitive data visibility to admin users only.
